his birth each year on December 23.

December 23, 2011, yesterday, was the birthday of a great American, Joseph Smith.
Born in 1805, Joseph Smith was a good and a great man, an inspired man, a prophet of God. In my mind, and in that of millions of people throughout the world, he was the one of the greatest, if not the greatest prophet who ever lived. By virtue of the number of pages of scripture that came through him from God, almost 1,000 pages, he is the greatest. He spent his entire life being the instrument through which the Lord Jesus Christ restored his gospel and his true church to the earth once more in these latter days.

Joseph Smith was the opposite of an evil man, but he was assassinated--shot while at the Carthage, Illinois jail--by an evil mob. My relatives who lived in or near Nauvoo, Illinois at the time revered and adored this great man. More than a few considered him the essence of Godhood personified.

The church he founded in 1830 through revelation and visitation from God the Father and Jesus Christ was forced to move from Nauvoo, Illinois to the Great Salt Lake Valley partly as a result of this heinous crime and partly because of a series of serious crimes against the church that threatened its very existence, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Even the U.S. Government would not redress these crimes, but preferred to merely look the other way, allowing evil men to harass Mormons until these mobsters killed the Mormon prophet and drove the LDS people from Illinois to the Great Basin area of what would become Salt lake City, Utah.

Now, we have an evil law at the disposal of our president. It was just passed by Congress. Now I really believe in the words of Hudson Indtutute writer Peter Sweitzer whose book is entitled Throw them all Out. Because of this new law, the government can detain good people any time the president wants to for no reason at all or for trumped-up political reasons. Americans from coast to coast should be up in arms about this. No longer do we have true Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights of  habeas corpus when it comes to our own safety and the power of the president to throw us in jail and throw away the key

It used to be that they had to charge you with a crime. But now they don't. Now you don't even get fair representation--your own attorney--to defend you. All of that seems to have been thrown out the window by evil men in Congress who passed this bill and a president who signed it. Could it be that all of those responsible for the bill passing were misinformed? I doubt it. Congressmen and presidents are some of the most aware and intelligent people in the country. I doubt they didn't know this was going to happen. They merely do not live by the Constitution, that's abundantly clear. If they did, we wouldn't have all of these undeclared wars, all of this fighting in foreign countries for no good end result. Fighting that has cost this country blood and national treasure.

From the president to senators and representatives clear down to the military and all departments of government, people hate it when someone like Ron Paulcomes in from the outside (Yes, he's a Congressman but he's considered a political outsider by the establishment) and tells them..."we no longer need five departments of government; we should not wage war without consent of Congress in the form of a declared war; we should bring home all of the troops, resulting in huge savings of taxpayer money; a smaller government is a safer government; working with NATO and the United Nations is actually against the Constitution. No other organization by our own government should be in charge of spending our funds, should be in charge of our troops, should create America's foreign policy. Yet, because of evil lobbying and money giving, we have a military complex that writes bills and makes decisions for us that they ought not write and make. That's not just the case in the military, but throughout Washington D.C. and in every department of government.

Here's the story. I'll hope that you will read it and comment below on this site. You decide if we still have habeas corpus. I don't believe we do. Time will tell, but I believe we live in a very dangerous country--one that can throw anyone in jail just by calling him/her a terrorist. And without a trial of our peers.

Can Prayer Cause Lightning, Stop Bar Construction?

Texas Beer Joint Sues Church In Mt.Vernon, Texas, Drummond's Bar began construction on expansion of their building to increase their business.
In response, the local Baptist Church started a campaign to block the bar from expanding with petitions and prayers. Work progressed right up
until the week before the grand reopening when lightning struck the bar and it burned to the ground! After the bar burning to the ground by a
lightning strike, the church folks were rather smug in their outlook, bragging about "the power of prayer ", until the bar owner sued the church
on the grounds that the church . . ."was ultimately responsible for the demise of his building, either through direct or indirect actions or means."
In its reply to the court, the church vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection to the building's demise.
